Phnom Penh: In a step toward bolstering military cooperation and cultural ties, Sihanoukville Autonomous Port is set to welcome two vessels from the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) this week. The port, located in the heart of Cambodia's coastal Preah Sihanouk province, will host the visiting ships from February 22 to 24, marking a notable occasion in the ongoing friendship between Cambodia and Japan.

The arrival of the DDG-172, TV-3521 SHIMAKAZE, measuring 150 meters in length, 16.4 meters in width, and 4.8 meters in depth, alongside the DD-114 SUZUNAMI, stretching 151 meters long, 17.4 meters wide, and 5.3 meters deep, is expected to be a highlight of the visit. Accompanying the vessels, a total of 435 crew members will participate in a series of engaging activities aimed at enhancing the bilateral military rapport between the two nations.
